Post your computer's specs here, and we'll see who has the best rig. Here's my details:

Model: Acer Aspire E380
OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
RAM: 2GB DDRII
HDD: 250GB SATA

Sound and graphics are built-in, but I'm looking into getting a nice GeForce 7600 graphics card :D

Okay, let's see what you got :P

Ok, might as well.

I don't play PC games as much, and most of the time I use my laptop. The desktop isn't really anything to speak about but here are the specs for my laptop:

Model: Dell XPS M1330
OS: Windows Vista Business (Before you go WTF? It's a long story and business is practically the same... just with some businessy type things)
CPU: Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor T7250 (2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB/2MB cache)
RAM: Up to 4GB shared Dual Channel 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
HDD: er... not quite sure... one of the following three:
Up to 200GB with 7200 RPM SATA hard drive.
Up to 160GB with 5400 RPM SATA hard drive.
Up to 64GB with a Solid State hard drive.

Windows Experience Index Base Score: 3.4
(Damn graphics pulled me down)

Oh, forgot about that. Lemme see.... 3.0 :(

Details

Processor: 4.9
RAM: 5.9 (Yay!)
Graphics: 3.4
Gaming Graphics: 3.0 (Dammit...)
Primary Hard Disk: 5.4

Sucks that it rates based on the lowest scoring aspect... If it were averaged, I'd have a 4.5 :(

lol, yea. Here's mine in more detail:
Processor: 4.6
RAM: 4.5
Graphics: 3.4
Gaming Graphics: 3.5
Primary Hard Disk: 5.0

Not bad for a laptop, if I say so myself.
One problem though is that my laptop doesn't have T+L shading.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ CPU, 2.1GHz, Socket AM2, 32/64-Bit,
250GB, 7200rpm, SATA-2
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium, for x64 (64-bit) systems, DVD,
GeForce 8500 GT, 512MB, DDR2, PCIe-16, TV out, DVI, HDTV, SLI ready
Kingston ValueRAM, 2x1GB, DDR2-667

Windows Experience= 4.9

Processor: 4.9
Memory (RAM): 5.9
Graphics: 4.9
Gaming Graphics: 5.3
Primary Hard Disk: 5.4

And that cost under NZ$1300 (really cheap in comparison to a bought one in NZ (we built it))

Before that all we had was a laptop, about a 600MHz processor >.> etc

My uncle works in the electronics wholesaling business so I got this laptop for cheap too. :P

And, you'd need a frickin' Super-Computer designed from the ground up to play games to play Crysis on the highest settings. ¬¬

Nope, I could make a computer for 900 dollars to play Crysis...
Unfortunately I don't have 900 dollars at this moment. :(

But is that on the highest settings? I remember people running dual 8800s and they could still not get a respectable framerate on the highest settings. I'm sure my "rig" could play it on the low settings. Though I haven't tried.

Dual 8800s and it wasn't perfect? Either they need more RAM, or Crysis really is one hell of a game.

Umm Crysis is one hell of a game. I think at the present point running actual 60FPS is impossible.
I think.

My friend works at a computer store and they have a computer that cost them $1,200 to make and they can run everything on high.

Is that Dx9?? Because the "very High" setting is only available on Dx10 Unless you use a hack.

"No matter which graphics card you have, you're not going to be able to set Crysis to its Very High settings—the ones that generated all those impressive preview screenshots—and run the game smoothly at a resolution above 1280x1024. In fact, you won't even get 1280x1024 without having two really good graphics cards working together in SLI or CrossFire mode."

Here is the article I got it from.

Also this is the site i was referring to Duck: http://www.gemaga.com/2007/12/12/over-1 ... -very-high

Also, the Crytek guys gave this post to build a $900 PC to run Crysis on high.
