While I'm annoyed that my friend didn't include Resistance or his HDMI cable ("I still plan on buying another PS3 when I can..." :| ), I still got the system; and bought Heavenly Sword for $45 used (and is worth it so far).

Am also kind of annoyed that the PS3 didn't stretch Ar Tonelico (PS2 game) to complete full screen, but rather "most screen"; I assume to make it look better than just the regular upscaling would do (doesn't stretch as much = clearer picture). I hope this isn't the case with games that are designed for true, 16:9 widescreen.

As for other game suggestions, I'll pass on Motor Storm and Warhawk, on basis of I really never play games online. I'll also pass on Ratchet and Clank, as I played the demo at Toys R Us (while (ironically?) waiting/hoping for them to get Super Mario Galaxy in) and it never got past the boring phase for me.

So I suppose I bought an upscaling PS2 that plays Heavenly Sword :D

Don't know much about it; I suppose the demo is already downloaded on the console (my friend never got around to playing it).

But seeing as Okami and Baroque (I believe) are both released next month (and Smash, but I'm not getting it (immediately, at least)), my money's already committed :P

Yeah... hopefully I can afford it :P

And Heavenly Sword is fully worth the $45 I paid for it. In case anyone was curious.

I'm not big on online for some reason, and don't have many ([cough]any[/cough]) friends who play Smash anyways.

I may get sometime in April since the single player actually looks to be really good, and it'll give me something to do with my brother while he's at college.

But honestly, I'd rather go get absorbed in Okami

It's a lot more fun with friends, true story.

I'm sure if you got some friends to come around and give them a go, they'll be pretty addicted pretty quickly...

But I agree that Okami is gonna be awsome, I never played the PS2 version so this will be good.

Another game that might convince me to buy a PS3, even though it'd probably cost me "an arm and a leg" is LittleBig Planet, tell me how it goes, ceph.

*looks around*

...I wasn't really planning on buying Little Big Planet. The two reasons I bought the console were 1) help friend out (he needed money); and 2) it was a 60GB, PS2 compatible for $300. Heavenly Sword aside, it's probably going to be a $300 upscaling PS2 for a good while :P

And while it doesn't fully stretch PS2 games to fullscreen (atleast 4:3 ratio ones), Ar Tonelico (2D RPG) does look good, if (very) slightly blurry. Not pixelated (slightly blurry though), colors seem more vibrant. It's the only PS2 game I've played in it though.

(and it'll probably be used for Blu-Ray when ADV starts throwing out Blu-Ray anime)

All that aside, I played the Uncharted demo and kinda yawned my way through it; they emphasize what seem to be mediocre gunfights in the demo, when they should have thrown more platforming/adventure gameplay. Trying to find my way around environment/ledges was kinda fun, but the demo only offers about 2 such moments. I thought about picking up Lair today since I saw it was $30 new, but my friend who works at Game Crazy said it's still not worth it. Little Big Planet looks good, but I'm not overly interested in what people seem to go ga-ga over (build-a-stage, online stage sharing/play, etc). So, I suppose no games shall sit beside Heavenly Sword for a while. (Though I may pick up Folklore if I can find it at a Game Crazy/Stop used... Target has it for $42, but can't trade in PSP at Target)

I need to finish Ar Tonelico anyways.

Then I can pray for localization of the second.

Woah.

Anywayz, what I tend to do it look through lists like this. And make my way down from the top :D

And trust me, Lair isn't worth it. It may look good, but plays horribly.

Little Big Planet, I think will play well and will cater to creative players more than most. But I still want to play it.

And don't forget Playstation Home.

I dunno about you but I'm getting a 360 soon. Purely because they're cheaper and no game installation required (lolz). And Gears of War 2!!!

If/when you get the first Gears of War, I'm always up for Gears of War campaign ;)

(probably after you've played throughit once or something... I felt bad when I played through with a friend and knew how to kill the bosses :P )

I've already played GoW up to the Berserker bit (is it called Berserker again - basically the thing which you had to kill with that gun that uses a satellite). I played local Co-Op with my sis. Was awesome.

Holy crap. The only thing that could make it better would be a projector screen, and Brawl. Love the dreamcast too.

My dad found a projector screen at his workplaces trash ...place? and kept it just in case we get a projector, but that doesn't look like its going to happen. If you want to spare some money for it, PM me.
