Well, I finally made a skin for the guitar grip. It's pretty basic, but I think it gets the job done. Anyways, feel free to post your own skins here.

Where'd you get the template for that?

Oh, no template needed. I just took an image like this and took out the colour, then added my own design. I guess you can say that's the closest way I could get a template. The size may be a tad bigger than it should be(just barely, into the millimeters), as I had a hell of a time trying to fit my custom skin into the guitar grip. I decided to cut out a bit, but then resorted to using the regular skin because my skin looked so faded (printer wasn't working properly).

 Nice.

I don't think I'm picking up On Tour so I'll refrain from making skins.

I'm down with that. Looking at reviews, not everybody seems to like On Tour, even going as far to saying it doesn't belong on the DS. I'm mainly on the side of the people who like the game, although I do wish it had more songs (used the 1 gig cartridge FF4 is using), and better songs (All Star? Seriously?). Many people complain about their hands cramping, but that only means that it is intended to be a portable experience, meaning you pick it up, play a few songs, then put it down again.

I like how they had the guts to make it portable.

It could have been better, but they did extremely well IMO. Now for a Rock Band version (where you can make a band with friends on other DS').

Rock Band on the DS could definitely work. For drums all you need is 2 styli that act as little drum sticks and the mic is already available. But seriously, it's silly enough that you have to yell "ROCK ON" into the DS mic to activate star power in OT. Would you really want to sing a song into the DS in public, in the car, or on a train? It would be pretty embarrassing if people weren't dropping money into your hat.

What? You have to shout: "ROCK ON!" to activate star power? That's insane.

Especially if you're out in public.

You can alternatively press a button, but I find that it can be difficult to do when you're always mashing frets. Normally the best choice would be the R button, where your thumb is, but my thumb always seems to be in the most awkward position while playing OT.

 They should have put in some sort of motion-sensor or gyro in the DS to detect motion. Although that will have it's problems too. Since it's portable you may be in a car and you could shake it accidentally.

also, this is what I do, but you can also blow in the mic, actually just blow and it will pick it up I find that to be the least distracting, also I like to simply tap the star power meter if the song is easy enough....I love how easy everything moves, like you can tell they did an awesome job with the peripheral and they made it feel pretty good in the hands, but not on the wrists... :P
