I played it for a bit, and it really isn't that bad. Jerking the mouse upwards to jump can be a little awkward now and then, but otherwise it's pretty good.

Also, what does the Magnetize ability do? I couldn't get it to work.

Well the abilities is the whole point of the game so it wouldent be good not to know how they work...didn't you read the message box? You left click to use your ability, right click to change abilities(when you get more than one) and you can only use abilities in rooms that you have lit the shadow rods for. It takes 20 GloBalls to light a shadow rod, so that means you need to collect all the globalls available in the room you start in(4 I'm pretty sure) then all the GloBalls available in the room where you get the first ability. If you have 20 GloBalls, just roll infront of the shadow rod to light it. You need to use your ability right away wen you get it on the track to your right.

See, I didn't get all the Globalls in the last room, so now I'm stuck. I can't go back. Might wanna look into that.

Ok, I've played through most of it and I find it quite enjoyable. I think I'd make quite a good WiiWare title actually.

The control scheme takes getting use to, but it's innovative and unique. So kudos to you. For about the first 10 minutes I was cursing a lot and wanting a WASD control scheme (using a touchpad didn't help either) but it grew on me. Although there are problems that need ironing out. Like maybe be able to go full screen, as when I have windows in the background (fine when it's just the desktop) and I click to use the abilities then it switches.

Oh and while we're on abilities, so far I've just used the magnet ability but it's good. Very clever. One question though, how do you "launch" off the pads? Just move quickly? Since that's the bit on stuck on... ¬¬ The box that came up didn't explain it very well (or am I too much of a newb?). The rod things is a clever mechanic too.

That's pretty much about it... I guess.

Well I guess you being the second or third person to mention the Launchers not being clear, I'll have to fix that too...you need to use your magnet ability when you roll over them and you get launched diagonally as fast as you were going horazontally, so you can roll over it at any speed and get some lift.

That helps. But it's too late now, I figured it out already! XD

Although I'm stuck again, I got the floaty ability (what is that called again?) with the upgrade which allows me to jump in the air. I have 26 blue balls and can't get anymore...

@WJUK:
Do you have the Purple Eye ability yet? If not then go back to the level where you first get your magnet ability and use your hover in a certain spot.

Ah, that would explain it. Hover at a certain spot... I'll check it out later.

I just finished this build of the game and I found it quite enjoyable.

I like the abilities a lot! Some of them were immensely imaginative, and I look forward to continuing the game.

Well for now I'm working mainly on a game for a contest, hopefully I'll win $1000 for 1st place. :)
I do still work on it a bit, just not as much anymore, but I do still plan on finishing it after the contest is over.

Nice dude. I wish you the best of luck with that.
Maybe you can share the game you're entering into the contest (after you've entered it into the contest, of course - we don't want anyone stealing anything now... do we?).

I'm just wondering, do you work alone? Or do you work with other people?

THanks. THere is one problem, though. Whenever I go into the room above/after the room with the pyramid and the 3 yellow doors, sometimes I can't go back. Maybe its my PC, but you might want to look into that. Other than that, it's a verry original idea, and one that plays really well, I'm sure you will win that contest. MAybe you can use that money to transfer it to WiiWare

Thanks dude.

I hear you on the complication matter when working with other people. Brad (the guy who made Fancy Pants Adventure) works alone too, that's why it takes him 2 frickin years to make FPA2.

Tony:

WJUK:
Fancy Pants Adventure? Thats seriously the name of his game? Images of a guy in shiny blue pants jumping through mario levels is the first thing that pops into my head...
