Nintendo introduces Wii Motion Plus

Kotaku wrote:Nintendo's just announced Wii MotionPlus, an accessory for the Wii Remote. The add-on attaches to the bottom of the Wii-mote and more accurately traces motions in 3-D space by better orienting the controller.

(The press release mentions 1:1 response)

Nintendo getting ready to combat motion-controllers from competitors? I'm interested in how they're going to get this thing mass-market penetration; bundle with MUST-BUY game? Begin packaging with Wii Remote?

I have a feeling it's going to come with a game.

And I'm not sure from the pic but can you also plug the nunchuk in after that?

To me it looks like there's some sort of plug for Nunchuck.

This is like adding wiggle to the waggle.

That's what I thought, there's a little cover thing that allows the nunchuk (or classic controller etc.) to be plugged in.

I think it's pretty trippy. My biggest complaint with the motion controls in the Wii was the fact that 1:1 felt so clunky and jittery. If it really can detect every sensitive movement, then we'll probably have a lot more interesting games.

It actually looks pretty decent. And nunchuk can indeed be plugged in. It's going to be packaged with a game (like I thought): Wii Sports: Resort.

It all seems pretty fun, now to wait with a Motion+ Zelda game.
