Postby PsychoDuck on Tue Jun 02, 2009 7:10 pm

"There's much to say after today's conference, but let's start with seeing how well my predictions fared. A green "YES" for whatever happened, and a red "NO" for whatever didn't. First off, my "highly likely" predictions:"

That last one really threw me off. I was looking at it and almost expecting Iwata to go "Just kidding, here's a new Zelda".

If only Duck... if only...

Anyone else go: "WTF?" at that part?

I sure did, but the new Metroid kind of made up for that.

I was expecting the worst, but damn, Galaxy 2 and New Super Mario Bros Wii? This is amazing stuff. I kind of wish there was some sort of teaser for a new Zelda, especially to demonstrate Motionplus some more, but I'm very satisfied with what we got.

Overall I'd say that all of the conferences were pretty good. None were mind-blowing but they were all worth watching.

NSMB for Wii looks good. Co-op always makes games more fun. I'm interested to know if it'll be online co-op though, that'd be good (I'm not getting my hopes up).

I'd have to agree that all the conferences were pretty good. I was quite impressed by both the "motion controller" technologies that Sony and MS unveiled. I'm interested in Project Milo by Lionhead too.

The motion controller technology that MS showed off what impressive in concept, but clearly needs a bit more work. I mean...

...yeah... I think they should've held on to that one a little longer.

Sony's actually looks pretty impressive, similar to holding to Wii remotes with MotionPlus at once. Now I'm just wondering if the consumer will catch on. It's always an uphill battle releasing a non-standard controller, something MS and Sony are sure to struggle with next year.

Haha when I see that all I hear is: "BAM! THERE IT IS!"

But yea, both could use a bit more work and tweaking. But I'm still interested to see the possibilities.
