ROM Nation doesn't have catchy shopping music, therefore it feels like going into a dreary black market.

The reason I hate emulators: Clunky and illegal. I'd rather pay to legally own Mega Man 2 and play it with a real controller than resort to an unauthorized emulator.

How is it clunky? The only way to buy Mega Man 2 is to buy the Gamecube collection.

Ryan, that reply made no sense at all. The clunky part is playing a console game on a keyboard. It has nothing to do with the obtaining of the actual game program.

Those two things that I stated meant two different things.

I don't find it clunky playing games on keyboards.

First of all, "and" is your friend. Second, that's how you feel. I, however, greatly dislike PC-based emulators largely due to having a huge keyboard in front of me instead of a handheld controller.

A lot of the times playing a game with a keyboard that is meant to be played with a game controller is frustrating for me. Although I'm sure if you have a USB controller you can use that, which solves the problem.

But a lot of NES (and some SNES) games are totally playable with the keyboard. The first that comes to my mind is Super Mario World.

I played all of Chrono Trigger with a keyboard.

Well, personally I don't like using roms.. It is stealing and blahblah, I'm not gonna repeat what everybody else said. Only reason I play roms is.. well, I can play NES, SNES, Genesis, Neo Geo and N64-games online with emulators. It's great to be able to play Contra with a friend far who you can't play local with, or Super Smash Bros. when Brawl wasn't out yet.

I rather play the real thing. But before there was Wii or Virtual Console, I though I could never play games like Chrono Trigger or Mario RPG, as they never came to Europe.. So I played them with emulator. I hate to admit it, but bleh, now it's said. Now, there is Virtual Console, so I just wait. Many of those games will appear there, and I gladly pay for Mario RPG and Chrono Trigger (well, DS-version is coming, but I probably end up buying VC-version too if it ever comes.)
