''So a large part of it's audience is made up of grade-schoolers. Aren't Mario, Zelda and so many other franchises in the same situation?''
Its, not it's.

Breaking and entering? Bah! There's no such thing anymore! Everybody's door is open all the time. Just walk in, open up, and sit down. Will the call the cops? Kick you out? Yell at...etc.

Should be:
Will they call the cops?

I don't want to sound like an ass, but,

"leaving me, my sister and her fiance to fend for ourselves."

It should be, "leaving my sister, her fiance, and I to fend for ourselves.'

Now I look like a self- center pompous dick, sorry...

No no no, it's alright. I need to learn these things, even if it means making the same mistake again and again...

For what it's worth, I think he had it right the first time... "leaving I to fend for myself" doesn't sound right (to me, anyways).

Similar situation:
My brother and me went to the store.
My brother and I went to the store.

I'm pretty sure I'm right, your second selection, in your similar situation thing, is the right one.

I think it's about time I weighed into the situation. Politically speaking, ryan is correct. The correct way in both the article and the similar situation bit is what ryan said.

But nowadays, most people forget this and it's mainly culturally accepted now.

Indeed it is. I was trying to point out a similar situation (except where the correct one would be I)

But I still object (via my computer's dictionary feature-thing):
me
used by a speaker to refer to himself or herself as the object of a verb or preposition

I
used by a speaker to refer to himself or herself

I think the situation is the former.

"my mom's out on business now... leaving my sister, her fiance and I (to fend for ourselves)"
"my mom's out on business now... leaving me, my sister and her fiance (to fend for ouselves)"

Key part, I think: My mom's leaving me -VS- My mom's leaving I.

subject (mom)
object/s (me/us)
verb (leave (to fend for oneself))

If he had written "...my mom's out on business now and me, my sister and her fiance are left to fend for ourselves.", (or: us are left), then it'd be a "my sister, her fiance and I" sentence (we are left).

Or replace with plural pronouns: "leaving us" (me/sister/fiance) and "leaving we (sister/fiance/I).

Dictionary thing again: from Personal Pronoun
Me, us, them, him, and her, on the other hand, are objective personal pronouns, which means that they are used as the object (i.e., they receive the action) of a verb or preposition ( : John likes me ;: his father left him ;: I did it for her )

So I maintain that his sentence was correct as originally written.

As for this week's banner, the question is "What is your primary gaming system?"

It should be this weeks POLL.
