That's what I thought at first. But turns out messing up a game is a lot easier than making a good one.

I just went to DDI's site (the same people who made ninjabreadman). It's full of crap. They say they are pushing the Wii's graphical capabilities with the GODS engine. Apparently it also allows them to make games in 3-4 months. I guess they never actually played their games.

3 - 4 months is impressive!

Just doesn't make a good game.

Wow, compared to TP's and SSBB's and SMG's approx. 3 years in development, I wondered how they could mess up a ninja Game.

Back to the topic of Sega. They made a lot of screw ups even before they became third-party. That's why they're considered the underdog of the console wars, because they could never best their biggest competitors, even with those crazy commercials. Let's just hope Sonic Team can make a "Genesis" quality Sonic game in 3D before the franchise dies.

They even tried messing with Nintendo in the handheld market, insulting the Gameboy's lack of colour. At least the Gameboy's battery life was long enough so you could play the game, and for less batteries too.

I've still got a working GAME GEAR and that thing is a giant of a beast. It's almost as big as my laptop! And it sucks up like 8 AA batteries.

*Brings topic back to life*

Sega isn't doing so bad this year. Madworld, The Conduit, and The House of the Dead: Overkill. The best part about these games is that Sega isn't directly developing them.

Short story:

A friend and I have made a running joke about our other friend having a Genesis, but not an SNES (kinda tease him about it for laughs :P). It started when talking about how the NES had two buttons, we'd be like "Back in my day, we had two buttons, and we were happy. You'd have your punch, your kick, and even had to press them both at the same time to jump! But not him, since he had three buttons!"

Then references to the guy with three ps3s "Do I press the A button? Do I press the B button? Do I press the C button? The answer is of course, yes. Because I have a Sega Genesis"

Then I waved an Altered Beast cartridge at him at Frank and Sons (hobbyist/collector market type place).

But yeah, Sega's looking pretty good on '09. The Sonic and the Black Knight game looks cool (so far), and I can't wait to get The Conduit and Madworld.

Is it just me or does anyone else crack a wide smile when you hear the old-school SEGA logo and music come on?

SEEEEGGGGGAAAAAAA!

Yea, I know, I kinda went off on a tangent.

I want to make that the sound my friend's computer makes when he turns it on :D

But the closest thing I had to that was the on the Master System, which just played the tones (DUUUUH duuuuh) instead of saying the words. Speaking of the Master System, the Virtual Console needs more Miracle Warriors.

Black Knight's looking pretty good, especially screenshots, and I don't normally say that about Wii screenshots. I just wish there was more footage. We said the same thing about Unleashed when there wasn't enough footage. Seriously, was Sega dipping into the eggnog when they thought of the Werehog?

I don't know if there's some licensing issues somehow, but they should try using the characters/plotline from the SatAM Sonic cartoon; not only does it have a good plot (involving the robotization of animals, which is what the games originally had, isn't it?), but actually has good, interesting friend/side characters... no Amy, Shadow, chameleon/thing, batidontknowthenameof, fighing cat, etc.

At least the Black Knight game seems to have found a better way to attack while keeping the pace up... the homing attack always felt like they just slowed the action down, where the sword attacks look to keep the speed kicked up a bit. Kinda like how Super Mario Galaxy managed to return the combat emphasis to jumping (rather than punch/kicking) by pulling the camera back.
