I saw Valkyrie last Tuesday with a friend after going to Pizza Hut (we ended up waiting 2 hours since we missed the 4PM showing :( ). Somehow, I managed to sleep through the middle part so I only know how it starts and how it ends...

I just totally "threw" (as in let him win) a Street Fighter match to my brother so he could look better in front of his girlfriend.

Still trying to convince myself it was worth the defeat. . .

:P

(Also watched the new Underworld movie... save your ~$12. Was decent, but not great (and they alter a few bits of the story that's told through the original Underworld movie... and even leave it open for another prequel... sequel... thing at the end). Maybe give it a rental, or watch when it's on movie channels on TV.)

Haha, you should have done it so he was winning then when you're down to minuscule health totally bring the match back and kick his ass. Would've been hilarious.

But anyway, that's a pity. I'm disappointed but I guess it was to be expected, most series are destroyed by these crappy sequel/prequel things.

Spiderman 2 and Terminator 2 beg to differ.

Spiderman 3, practically every SAW after the first one, Jaws 2. I could go on really.

But yea, there are exceptions to the rule that's why I said "most" series are destroyed by them. And I believe I am right.

Yep, sequels are a double-edged sword. If something turns out well, people want to see more of it. If sequels turn out well, it's really difficult to surpass them. It's also really difficult to keep a series fresh, whether it be games or movies.

It also helps when you don't change the director/screenwriter/etc for the third movie... I can't remember if that was the case with Spiderman, but I know it's what happened with the X-Men movies (I thought the third was decent, but not nearly as good as the other two).

At least (it seems like) the Harry Potter movies are doing well enough. What are they up to now... 6?

I look forward to the 6th movie. It's one of my favourites out of the books I've read (never did read the final book. Heard the ending was really cliche).

Eh... The epilogue was kinda crappy. Up until then was good, though.

The epilogue was extremely vague. I remember getting to the end then thought: "Really? Is that it? Seriously?"

I ended up spending about 10 minutes checking around near the end to see if there was something significant I missed.

Two small points:

#1. Resident Evil Extinction. Worst-ending-ever. I thought the second RE movie had a lame ending, but the third's totally blew it away.

#2: I just had an SF4 Akuma player blame lag for losing a Ranked match to me :D

And I might get off work early tomorrow YAY

Haha I still haven't seen the RE Extinction movie. I find the movies make bad games thing tends to go both ways. :P

Talking about films, I watched the new Hollywood version Dragonball film. And it's... er... yea... shocking. To say the least.

I watched the DB movie as well, as it was uploaded on the net. Since I'm typing from my itouch, I'll make a very brief impression for now. Not even the Dragonballs are going to cleanse my mind of that... THING!

What's more shocking is that the movie was made in this time period. It seriously looked like something from the 80s.

Haha I wouldn't say 80s, that's going a bit too far back. But yea, the quality could have been much better.
