Any Magic: the Gathering players around?
I haven't played much lately, but it's generally been on and off since I was about nine years old (back with Revised/3rd Edition).
About a year ago my friend and I each bought a box of 9th edition and made a deck; he's never made a core deck before, so he lost horribly
; he was too used to using all kinds of card-combo moves (his black/red dragon deck is pretty wicked reincarnation deck though). He couldn't believe it when my blue deck shut him down and my 9/9 Colossus (of Sardia?) stomped over him
Another memorable moment is when he had some 22/22 black ghoul (when brought into play, remove creatures in graveyard from game; has power/toughness equal to their combined p/t; pulled this off on like turn 5); another friend attacked him with a face-down creature. He was arrogant (22/22 could be considered reason to be), so said he'd take it. Face-down creature is flipped, and says when it deals damage to a player, that player must sacrifice a creature. Good times
Personally, I'm kind of fond of white and black; I had a pretty nifty black/white reincarnation deck, though it was kinda hit-or-miss most of the time. My new-ish white weenie-rush deck's kinda nifty though (like 12, 1/1 creatures, + enchantments), then my blue deck's (mentioned above) alot better than I was thinking it'd be, as I don't really use blue.
