Virtual Console Reviews

Postby ryanrab1 on Sat Feb 09, 2008 9:01 pm

I think VC Reviews would make the website a better place to go for reviews because you could do more reviews. You wouldn't even have to buy the game on the VC if you already owned it, Duck. As long as the game is on the VC you could review it.

That sounds like a good idea. Means that they'll be less "Can't think of anything. Night." posts; which is always a good thing. :D

I've been thinking that, Ryan. I just haven't been playing much VC lately...

Well it can be a retro game you already own, that is on VC.

I haven't been playing much retro, either. I can't get either of my NES to work, and my N64 seems to have bitten the dust long ago...

I know what you mean. I have a turbulent history with my gaming consoles...

Maybe if you ask Nintendo very nicely, they can send you VC games! XD It's not like it's gonna cost them much (if anything).

Sounds like a good idea to me. Hell, if I get anything for free it's a good idea.

It's probably best not to ask Nintendo (Or any company) for hand-outs, especially at this early stage. It's miraculous enough that I even have this THQ deal.

Playing it safe, I see. Probably the intelligent decision.

Duck, maybe you could play these games a different way than pulling out the console.

I'd rather not go through the trouble of emulators. Even after I find a good one and download some ROMs, it's just not the same. The controls on emulators almost always suck, too.

You can always change the controls. Not that I use emulators at all.

I'd like to throw in that emulators are evil much in the way that illegally downloading music is evil - only it's like 17 billion times worse because you're HURTING THE GAMING INDUSTRY.

Kudos, Duck, for not supporting game piracy! *Applauds*

Also, VC reviews sound fun - it'd be good to scribble some down and have them as back-ups for those brain fart nights. They wouldn't have to be as long as normal reviews, either, since most of the games are much simpler, and you'd have more to choose from since they're so affordable :) Best idea Ryan's ever had.

Emulators are like robbing a CD, or robbing a Used GBA game, since it probably has been rehashed. Most of the time, money doesn;t even go to the game designers.

Maybe we could all help out by sending duck a couple of VC games, (maybe only me and Ryan) THough.
