Starting this weekend I'm going to try to get through some games I've been putting off for a while, namely on Zack & Wiki. And I might finish Phoenix Wright 3 and Apollo Justice as well :)

Good for you, I still have several games I haven't finished. Not long ago I went back and finished Mass Effect -I'm really glad I did. And just from memory, I believe I have Far Cry 2 still unfinished. Although the game looks nice, I never really liked the gameplay.

I purchased Contra Rebirth on WiiWare, then went on to die with a friend. Alot. Eventually muscled/died my way through to the end on Normal, Easy (to unlock character), Hard, Nightmare. Nightmare was especially stupid/challenging, since the moving targets/aliens usually leave a bullet heading your way when they die. Makes it all the more satisfying if you make it through a level without dying.

Oh man, how long must that have taken?

I've always been only so-so at Contra myself.

Well, there's infinite continues (fortunately? unfortunately?), so it's not as long as you'd think :P

Just lots of patience is necessary on Nightmare. Bullets everywhere. Even on hard my friend couldn't understand how I was able to dodge the bullets successfully (and we both laughed when unsuccessful :D)

Haha, I suppose it's easier (and more fun) when playing with a friend. And patience... I don't have a lot of that. :P

Yeah, I wish I had something NEAR the patience I had in the NES/SNES days... maybe I could get around to finishing Super R-Type again one of these days :P (FRIGGIN SPACE SHIP BOSS THING).

I totally understand what you mean, games seem so much easier now. What with auto-saving etc.

Back in the NES/Mega-drive (Genesis) days, there weren't any save points! I remember playing Sonic and left it on a few days straight, just so I wouldn't lose my progress.

LOL The good 'ol days! :D (NES/Astyanax :x )

"Okay kids, we need to go to the store."
"But mom, I don't want to."
"Turn of the video games and get your shoes on!"
*Pause video game, turn TV off, forget shoes.*

I remember just playing games from morning till night. Only stopping to eat and going to the toilet.

*sigh* Too bad I can't do that now.

I did that with Oblivion, probably about two years ago :P (turned on the Xbox 360 at 10AM, turned it off at midnight. My console's such a trooper).

I also remember playing Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast with a friend from 8PM to 6AM mutiple nights. It'd be like "Dude, it's 6 o'clock, I need to get ready for school." "Yeah, me too. I'll see you there."

I've been avoiding doing that since Oblivion... need to try being more productive with my free days :P

Picked up Bowser's Inside Story on Saturday. Pretty good so far, but then again, who would expect anything else of a game with Fawful as the main bad guy?

I've been trying to get that game and Scribblenauts for a while, but every time I get to the town where the nearest game store is a problem arises. Maybe it's a sign...

I'll be trying to grab Scribblenauts on Friday. There's a Wal-Mart and an EBGames there. One of them is bound to have it.

...right?

Ah man, it makes me sad that I can't play that many games now. Specifically on weekdays.

The best gaming day in years is coming up next week, and it goes by the name of...
ROCKTOBER 13TH
Not only will there be a Tim Schafer created open-world, heavy metal satirical epic, but also, Uncharted freaking 2!
My entire week has already been booked, but I wish I could just stay home from school all next week, then mayhaps I could scratch the surface of these games.

Augh, I need a 360 so bad. I wasn't sure if I wanted one before, but now I'm positive. I mean, come on! It's a game with JACK FREAKING BLACK in it. Made by TIM SCHAFER. I think I know what I want for my birthday.

I bought Chrono Trigger for DS. I now own the game on four platforms: SNES, SFC, PS1, DS. (With box and instructions for all :D)

I played for around an hour last night, and aside from the small screen resulting in kinda hard to read text at times, I had about as much fun as I've ever had in that game. I don't like the menu set up though, and it's not just because I played the cartridge for so long. When you hit the menu button, you have to go from the top screen (gameplay) to the bottom screen for all menu activity, while it still uses the top screen for some info. It's terribly inefficient, and annoying. When I go to equip something, I press X, look at bottom screen, select equip, go to switch item look back at top screen to see stat changes/effects of the items that will be switched. It's a minor nag, but still irritating enough for me to note.

And while the new translation only seems like some minor changes, the dialog does seem to be a good deal more natural.

AND THERES A NEW ENDING I GET TO SEE I NEED TO SEE WONT REST EVER AGAIN UNTIL I SEE IT ITS GOING TO BE AMAZING LIEK ONG :o
